Gwen Staples, age 11, and Dolores Martin, age 8 standing in front of Jasper's Restaurant in Ellsworth, Maine. The girls are off island in preparation of having their tonsils removed the following day in MDI Hospital. This was Easter Sunday and the girls were going to enjoy a 'last meal' before having jello and soups for days. Gwen is the daughter of Milton and Melita Staples and Dolores was a next door neighbor who lived in Minturn. She is the daughter of Johnny & Louise Martin. Good friends. |
