Fishermen talking it over |

Description |
These are fishermen who liked to meet and talk over the catch of the day at Mertic Morrison's Wharf after Mertic bought their lobsters. The wharf now belongs to Tim Trafton and is located at 387 Minturn Rd. The men in the group are Kenneth Turner (1926-2008) who was a fisherman and jack of all trades, Oakley Smith (1921-1984) who was also a lobsterman and Eddie Stanley (1882-1974) (in the foreground) who was not a fisherman but worked on the roads and enoyed visiting the men. Eddie always had a huge wad of gum that he chewed on. Kenneth and Oakley (called Jerry by some) were great friends who loved to raise the devil and play jokes. |
