Wes Staples in a sleigh pulled by Ben, the bull, in front of his father, Herman Staples, home in Atlantic. (The home was later owned by William Johnson and then Steve Roth). Wes and his brother Bud accidentally killed the bull by setting a bucket of gasoline near of the bull during the depression. The bull drank it like water. They lived at 556 Atlantic Rd. |
