Herman W. Staples as a young man. In his right hand it looks like he is holding a wooden buoy. All dressed up with his pipe in his mouth and a buoy in his hand! He is the son of Warren & Lottie Stanley Staples and the husband of Amy Joyce. His sons were Wesley and Milton (Bud). Herman was a town clerk, a sheriff, farmer and lobsterman. He was on the schoolboard when the fist consolidated school was built in the Harbor at 125 Harbor Rd. The building that is now the town office/post office. |
